Description of the Moa

The Moa is a very peculiar odd looking bird. If I were to describe it to anyone  I’d  say it has an emu neck, large chicken legs, and a kiwi body that’s basically how a Moa looks to me,being put into perspective. Although of course this is not an accurate description of the Moa and to be honest the Moa is most likely an ancestor of the emu, so technically speaking an emu has a Moa’s neck. If we were to start with the Moa it is a small oval shaped skull, although the skeleton of the Moa shows that the skull looks more similar to a plague mask than an oval, the lower jaw curves a little outwards, giving it an almost bridge-like shape. The neck then makes an almost straight serpent holding the head up and connecting to the oval shaped body. The feet were slim and up straight keeping everything in balance the Moa has three toes on each foot and resembles that of a dinosaur. The Moa has an odd body since it’s legs and necks are tall and slim with it’s head and body are more curved if we were to look at the very beginning of the beak to the end of it’s tail we can see it has a sort of sloppy 90 degree angle going on. I’d assume like the birds that have similar features the Moa has thick long feathers especially by the wings, it is not definite what exactly the colour of the wing was, but it was most likely black, brown or maybe even something colour. Overall the Moa is a unique and interesting bird, and would be really amazing if brought back into the living.
