A piece of writing

For the past two weeks we have been taking part in Prep and unforunately I have not done much writing although I do have a piece of writing from when my class and I went to Mistletoe Bay for camp. We then had to write a descriptive piece of writing based on a moment at camp, this is mine.

A Night at Camp

The yellow ball of fire changed to hues of orange and blue.It merged with the sky, like juice-mix dissolving in a glass of water. The clouds were a bright neon peach as though they blushed at the warm touch of the sun some, fluffing around in the colourful sky. The last specks of light danced on the calm sea shore. As the sun closed its eyes the  trees turned to shadows of the night. You can hear the soft splash of waves brushing against the shore.  The leaves of the trees rustling as the cool wind blows away the warmth of the day. If you listen closely you will hear the faint sound of chirping crickets. The sound of laughter seems to have faded with the bright colours. There is a perplexing  scent that lingers in the chilling air, almost like a forest there is a damp soil and old fallen leaves. Then there are the trees, each with its unique smell some are  sweet while others smell like aged wood, it is oddly calming. As the mystical sunset sets before you,you take a deep breath and the feeling of the fresh air traveling to your lungs rejuvenates you.The enchanting colours, impenetrable scents, heart warming sounds, makes a flush of content rush through you.
